Kodak V803 Digital Camera

The design of the Kodak V803 is similar to that of the V603, but shaped with a much curved edges and corners. The body is smoother and because of the curves, appears to be more compact than it actually is. The charming physical look is done with glacial finish on the plastic.

The camera has a 1/1.8-inch CCD with 8.32 MP (3350 x 2483) resolution built with a 36-108 mm lens with a 3x optical zoom. It also has a 4x digital zoom. At the back side, it has a 2.5-inch LCD that gives a maximum resolution of 154K pixels. Like most other Kodak cameras, this one has 32 MB of internal memory as well as an expansion slot for SD/MMC cards.

The camera is available in 8 different color shades. It weights a very light 141 grams.

The phone gives a decent image quality and can use zoom when shooting videos. The quality of the pictures from the V803 was above average with decent results in most lighting conditions, indoors or outdoors. The camera features various scene modes including portrait, sport, landscape, close up, backleight, fireworks, candlelight, sunset, panorama and anti blur.

Video capture is continuous MPEG-4 with audio capture and full optical zoom as well. Videos are captured in VGA (640x480 pixels) at 30 fps and QVGA (320x240 pixels) at 30 fps. Length of the movie depends on the amount of memory you have.

I/O interfaces for the V803 include an A/V output (NTSC or PAL, user-selectable), KODAK Camera Dock/Printer Dock Interface and a digital (USB 2.0) port.
